Australian Chamber Orchestra

2020 marks 30 years of Richard Tognetti's fearless artistic leadership of the Australian Chamber Orchestra and 250 years since the birth of Ludwig van Beethoven. In this anniversary season, the ACO celebrates their past while looking to the future.

Starting with Beethoven's first three symphonies and ending with a concert that tracks his enduring influence through time, our 2020 Season covers close to a thousand years of music, from Hildegard von Bingen to Bach, Vivaldi and Beethoven, through to Mahler, Shostakovich and Arvo Pärt, and brand new commissions yet to be written.

Joining the celebration will be a host of guests from home and abroad, including operatic sensations Stuart Skelton and Christianne Stotijn, perennially in-demand director Jonathan Cohen, our friend and pianist Polina Leschenko, the British electronic explorer Anna Meredith and the uplifting direction of violinist Hugo Ticciati.
