The Archduke

The Archduke

Thursday 21st Jul - 7:00pm
Llewellyn Hall

Selby & Friends welcomes home our own Natalie Chee after a 2 year absence to join Julian Smiles in this exciting program starting with the highly romantic trio by the great Australian composer, Miriam Hyde, whose grace and generosity is legendary. Both Natalie and Julian are as excited as me to include the Arensky second trio in this program before we launch into one of the greatest of all piano trios, the ‘Archduke’ by Beethoven. This program is a stunning window into the sheer endless possibilities presented by the genre of the piano trio, its breadth and power and its ability to transcend even the beauty of the voices of these three instruments.
