Van Diemen’s Band

Van Diemen’s Band

Thursday 12th May - 7:00pm
Llewellyn Hall
Musica Viva

In their national tour for Musica Viva Australia, this country’s finest early music specialists, Van Diemen’s Band, invite you to experience the beautiful melding of cultures in Europe’s historical borderlands.

Many of the very different composers in this program were touched by the Thirty Years’ War, and their music reveals the trials of battle – loss, regret, resentment – and at long last, healing.
