Musical theatre stars Amy Manford and Josh Piterman join CSO for an unforgettable celebration of the Broadway songbook.
Amy Manford and Josh Piterman sang Christine Daaé and the Phantom opposite each other in the Australian production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera, and both have played the roles in the West End. When they sang together in Melbourne in 2025 they 'lit up the stage with voices that soared, shimmered, and thrilled’, according to Australian Arts Review.
The concert program spans songs and duets across half a century of musical theatre: South Pacific, West Side Story, Evita, Les Misérables, Sunset Boulevard and, of course, The Phantom of the Opera. Conductor Jessica Gethin leads Canberra Symphony Orchestra, bringing the rich textures of the full symphony orchestra to some of Broadway’s most memorable numbers.
